Oak Tree Farm Lightning!
Welcome to the home of the Oak Tree Farm Lightning!
We provide a summer swim team for families in the Oak Tree Farm and Paddocks at Richardson Ranch subdivisions. Our team is one of 8 sponsored by HOAs throughout Lee's Summit that make up the Suburban Swim League. We aim to provide a safe, fair and fun environment in which our children develop swimming skills and a teamwork spirit through recreational swimming.
The team mission of the Oak Tree Farm Lightning is to:
- promote personal development and encourage disciplined commitment
- provide opportunities to participate in fair and friendly swim meet competitions for recreational swimmers
- teach kids to become competent, safe swimmers
- create an environment that has strong family, neighborhood and community involvement
SEASON SCHEDULE:
Info Nights: Sunday, May 3 and Wednesday, May 6 @ 7-8 p.m.
Morning Practices: Start Tuesday, May 26 (first day after LSR7 schools let out)
Evening Practices: Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday 8-9 p.m. starting May 26

Champs: Saturday, Jul 11. 10&Under starts at 8 a.m. Warm-ups are 7:15 - 7:30. 11&Up starts at 3 p.m. Warm-ups are 2:00 - 2:15 p.m.
Swim Feast: Sunday, July 12. 4:00 - 7 p.m
Concession Donations

Donations can be brought the day of the meet either to morning practice or before the meet.
Victory Lap 2026
OTF Lightning is excited to be participating in Victory Lap 2026 alongside the other teams in the league. This adaptive swim race for swimmers with diverse learning or physical abilities will be held at the beginning of all swim meets, both home and away, this season.
All Victory Lap swimmers must be registered with the team in order to participate. Registration is FREE and open to all interested swimmers, regardless of residency or affiliation with an OTF Lightning swimmer.
Life jackets, swim buddy, etc...are welcome. Ribbons are awarded for all participants.

This has been replaced with the two Info Nights on May 3rd and May 6th.
Swim Feast -
Wrapping up the season and celebrating our awesome team, the Swim Feast is Sunday, July 12 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. The team will provide the main dish. Please bring a side to share and drinks for your own family.
