Lightning and Cold Weather

ALL DELAYS OR CANCELLATIONS WILL BE UPDATED ON THE OAK TREE FARM FACEBOOK PAGE!

• Cold Weather: The combination of water and air temperatures must be 130 degrees or higher for swimmers to enter the pool for practice or meets.
• Storms: There will be a 20 minute delay if lightning is sighted. The pool deck must be cleared for a minimum of 20 minutes. If no further lightning is sighted, then the meet/practice may continue. If lightning continues to be sighted, then the league representatives will jointly decide if continuation of the swim meet is in the best interest of the swimmers. If lightning occurs during practice the league reps and head coach will jointly decide if continuation of the practice in in the best interest of the swimmers.
• Practice cancellation will be made 20 minutes prior to the start time (please note that on occasion, one practice may be cancelled and the other held if the weather improves)
• Meets - if cancelled will be rescheduled for the following evening (Thursday)
